Signs of Success

Success Defined

At Hope Pregnancy Center, signs of success are when young men and women are:

• Victorious over troubling circumstances
• Connecting to people of faith
• Strengthening with resources

When they possess hope, destructive cycles are broken and generations are impacted. Come and see how you are making success a reality.

Victorious

A young mother returned to Hope Pregnancy Center recently to share how her life has changed from victim to victor. During her initial visit for services, she revealed her pregnancy was the result of a rape. Nevertheless, she chose life for her baby. She experienced dire circumstances throughout her pregnancy – homelessness, unemployment and no car, yet she persevered to get off drugs and stop smoking and drinking.

Now, she is living in a house, owns a car and is being promoted to assistant manager where she works. Pictures of her 13-month-old little girl are beautiful! All smiles and curls, with radiant blue eyes. She came back to Hope to thank her Client Care volunteer for talking her through the rough spots in her life. Hope’s Client Care volunteers are equipped with local community referrals which can empower a woman with resources to help her succeed in turning her life around. What a sweet encouragement it is when Hope volunteers get to see how God has answered so many prayers!

Connecting

It’s amazing to see the work God is doing through Hope’s weekly Empowered Parenting classes. Dads embrace fatherhood, parents learn practical skills for caring for their children, couples marry and hearts are tendered toward the Lord. Throughout the time Hope serves these families, we strive to help them see their need and the benefit of connecting with a local body of believers. Only 4% of Hope clients attend church. It is our desire that clients who graduate the program will connect with a local church where they will continue to be fed truth and hope.

At Parents Empowered (North OKC) and Empowered Parenting Community Nights (Tulsa), parenting students come together to learn about resources available to them in the local community or about a life skill topic and spiritual application. Local church members serve a meal and interact with clients, showing them the love of God. Hope families are introduced to people within the church who encourage them to consider connecting with a local body of believers.

Be a connector. Contact the Hope Pregnancy Center nearest you to learn how:

Strengthening

Many single parents have limited outside support and resources, creating an unstable environment for them and their children. You can have a part in strengthening and ministering to single parents.

  • Connect single moms who have limited or no support or resources with Children’s Hope, a ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.
  • Empower single moms to create healthy homes by promoting Arise Ministries Bible studies and events.
  • Begin an Embrace Grace Bible study for single moms at your church.
  • Share the Single Parent Support Network which offers support, comfort and services single parents need.
